Also a good time: True/Slant articles will start appearing on Google News in mid-August! I’ll keep you posted on how that works…

Here’s my latest project: a blog where I make fun of my massive stamp collection–I always knew that getting that Stamp Collecting merit badge was going to come in handy someday!
So go check out and bookmark Stupid, Stupid Stamps as ASAP as possible.
Next Thursday, my first feature film is playing at its first film festival! I’m both very excited and very nervous. Yay! If you’re anywhere in the general area of Cape Cod, I hope you’ll come down for the screening on July 30 at 9PM. The info is here.
Also, Atom Age Vampire is available on DVD right now for just ten bucks, here. I’ll probably send you some extra goodies, as well.
Also also, contact me if you want to screen Atom Age Vampire–the more the merrier!

The 10,000 3×5 project is now over 8% done–that’s over 800 drawings. See the latest ones here.
And don’t forget most drawings are available for purchase, and come framed in a dollar-store frame! Details at the link above.
In honor of today’s 40th anniversary of the moon landing, today’s animation over at True/Slant uses actual audio from John F. Kennedy’s famous speech that set the space program in motion. You can watch it here. Enjoy!
Hot off the Internet equivalent of the press, here’s the newest trailer for my feature film debut, Atom Age Vampire!

Two fun facts:
Amazing comedy photoblogger Keith Huang (Improv Is Good For You) took some wonderful photos of my most recent live Scott Bateman Animation Show at the Peoples Improv Theater in New York City. Though this one photo pretty much encapsulates the entire show, go check the rest of the photos out here. Thanks, Keith!
